About Us

Our school address is Woodford Green Primary School, Sunset Avenue, Woodford Green, Essex IG8 0ST

Our Headteacher is Mr. PJ Prince and our Deputy Headteacher is Ms. Charlotte Linden.

Woodford Green Primary School is situated on the edge of Epping Forest, in Woodford Green, outer London. Our Local Education Authority is the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Our Victorian school building is the oldest school building in Waltham Forest. We have a special oak tree in the middle of our playground which is thought to be about 500 years old.

It is a one-form entry school. At the moment we have approximately 200 pupils aged 4-11. We also have a Nursery unit, which opened in 2002. It has 30 morning placements (8.45am – 11.45am) but we also provide an all day environment (8.45am – 3.15pm).

Our playground is quite small but we feel lucky to be so near Epping Forest. We often see wildlife near our school, such as ducks, herons and squirrels. The squirrels have been known to come and look in the windows when we are in our classrooms!
